The Cooperstown Hawkeyes dropped both games of a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League doubleheader Wednesday, losing the first game, 6-2, and the second, 4-2, to the Glens Falls Golden Eagles at Doubleday Field.
The Hawkeyes (22-16) has a 1 1/2-game lead over second-place Newark (22-19) in the West Division.
Glens Falls, which clinched a playoff spot in the East Division, scored twice in the first inning and four more in the fourth inning off of losing pitcher Chris Kono.
Josh Anderson hit an RBI single and a second scored on a wild pitch in the first inning for Glens Falls.
Kyle Ruchim's three-run homer to left highlighted the Golden Eagles' four-run fourth.
Bryan Aanderud hit an RBI single in the fourth inning and Danny Nelson homered in the sixth for Cooperstown.
Details of the second weren't available.
Cooperstown travels to Glens Falls tonight.
